Five Dragons Earn Places on Inquirer Academic All-Area Teams

Philadelphia – The Philadelphia Inquirer has recognized its final set of Academic All-Area Teams for the 2009-10 collegiate athletics season. Among those honored for their performances as student-athletes this spring are Drexel’s Colin Ambler (men’s lacrosse), Ashley Botelho (softball), Anthony Fittipaldi (men’s rowing), Nikoloz Kurdadze (men’s tennis) and Katie Lawson (women’s lacrosse).

Women's Soccer

Ashley Klun scored the game-winning goal for Drexel in a 1-0 win over UMBC in the women's soccer season opener at Vidas Field. Klun netted her first strike of the season with less than seven minutes left in the contest.
