Philadelphia - Drexel fans, alumni and supporters, including new Drexel President John Fry and U.S. Congressman Patrick Kennedy, attended a celebration of the Women's Varsity Eight that captured the Sport Council Cup at the prestigious Henley Women's Regatta. The celebration took place on Wednesday, Aug. 4 at the University Club in MacAlister Hall on the campus of Drexel University.

Women's Soccer

Ashley Klun scored the game-winning goal for Drexel in a 1-0 win over UMBC in the women's soccer season opener at Vidas Field. Klun netted her first strike of the season with less than seven minutes left in the contest.
