Philadelphia - Sophomore Nathan Page and freshman Ken Tribbett were among the CAA's honorees on this year's All-Conference teams. Page, who in his second season in University City led the Dragons with six goals, was named to the All-CAA Second Team. Tribbett earned a place on the CAA All-Rookie team after starting in all but one match during his rookie campaign for Drexel.
"We are certainly proud of both Kenny and Nate, and their recognition on the All CAA teams," Head Coach Doug Hess said. "They were without a doubt two of our most consistent performers through-out the season, both in training and games."
Page netted a team-high six goals this season, a personal best for the second-year striker from Norwich, England. Half of his tallies came in conference matches, as his strength on the ball and aggressive play made him a stand-out performer for the Dragons this season.
Tribbett had a stellar year at midfield for the Dragons, scoring four goals and distributing two assists from his center midfield position. Both of his assists and three of his four goals came in conference play. Additionally, Tribbett came through with game-winning goals on two occasions, none more memorable, perhaps, than a last-second header against NJIT in non-conference play. Tribbett earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors on Oct. 11 after scoring twice in Drexel's 4-3 win at Towson.
While the Dragons finished on a losing skid after starting the season 4-0-1, a number of talented young players will return to the Vidas Field pitch next season, including Page and Tribbett, as the team works to return to its winning ways.
