Jevnick Earns Finals Berth in 3-Meter Dive at NCAA Diving Zone Regional

Piscataway, N.J. - Drexel's Ian Jevnick qualified ninth in the 3-meter dive preliminaries to nab a spot in the finals at the 2010 NCAA Diving Zone Regionals. Jevnick wound up taking 10th on the 3-meter board. He also competed in the 1-meter competition where the junior finished 24th. The event capped a season that saw Jevnick capture both the 1-meter and 3-meter Colonial Athletic Association Championships as well as Men's Most Oustanding Diver of the meet honors at the CAA Championships.
Jevnick placed highest among all CAA divers in the 3-meter competition with a score of 590.35. He earned his spot in the finals by scoring a 301.85 in the six-dive preliminary. His score of 245.80 in the 1-meter fell short of the 267.80 needed to secure a top-18 finish in the prelims and a spot in the finals.
