Drexel to Send Varsity Eight and Pair to Compete at Henley Women's Regatta

Henley-on-Thames, England - After earning a bronze medal at the 2010 Dad Vail Regatta, the Drexel women's varsity eight will compete in one of the most prestigious events in rowing, the Henley Women's Regatta. Also representing Drexel will be a pair that will also serve as spares for the varsity eight. The Dragons varsity eight will race on Sunday, June 20 at 11:32 a.m. local time.
Along with Drexel, two other American schools will be competing in the elite women's varsity eight competition as Grand Valley and Saint Joseph's are represented at the Henley Women's Regatta. Drexel will open competition with a head-to-head match-up with an English entrant with the winner competing for the gold medal at 4:50 p.m. local time.
