Varsity Four Takes Fifth in Prelims, Sixth in Repechage at IRA National Championships

Camden, N.J. - Drexel men's crew concluded its season as the varsity four boat entered in the 2010 IRA National Championships took fifth in a preliminary race before being ousted with a sixth-place finish in the repechage. Wisconsin won the preliminary heat while George Washington crossed first in the repechage race in which Drexel competed.
The Drexel four of stroke Greg Pierce, Ness Del Valle, Kyle Fable, and bow Brian Timlin with coxswain Cate Khella finished at 6:50.817 in the preliminary behind Wisconsin, Yale, Temple and Holy Cross but ahead of Loyola. The fifth-place finish sent the boat to a repechage race where Dragons' took sixth with a nearly identical time of 6:50.486. Temple, Penn and Harvard took second, third and fourth, respectively.
