Zelenak and Hitchens Lead New Jersey Team to Third-Place Finish at Junior Women's National Championships

Virginia Beach, Va. - Drexel Field Hockey Head Coach Denise Zelenak guided the New Jersey High Performance team to a third-place finish at the inaugural Junior Women's National Championships. Drexel Associate Head Coach Nicky Hitchens served as the team administrator while the team also featured two current Drexel players, Susan Ciufo and Amanda Fleischut.
The Junior Women's National Championships is held in conjunction with the Women's National Championships as well as the National Futures Championships for the U19, U16 and U14 divisions. Prior to the Junior Women's National Championships, the New Jersey High Performance team trained for six weeks at Drexel's Buckley Field.
