Table is Set For Opening of Hess-Era Drexel Men's Soccer

Philadelphia - First-year Head Coach Doug Hess will lead his Dragons onto the pitch for the first time in 2010 against Canisius at Vidas Field on Sept. 1. Drexel announced its 2010 men's soccer schedule which includes Philadelphia Soccer Six match-ups against Villanova and Temple, first-time contests against NJIT, South Florida and Florida Gulf Coast and a full ledger of CAA competition.
The Dragons play three of their first four matches at home to start the season, facing Canisius (Sept. 1), Villanova (Sept. 4) and NJIT (Sept. 13). They travel to play at city rival Temple (Sept. 11) before heading south to play in the Florida Gulf Coast Tournament against Big East power South Florida and the host FGCU.
CAA play opens on Sept. 25 at William & Mary and the Dragons play their first home conference match against UNC Wilmington on Saturday, Oct. 2 under the lights at Vidas Field. Drexel is on the road against Towson, Hofstra, VCU, James Madison and rival Delaware (Oct. 13) and plays host to George Mason, Georgia State, Northeastern and Old Dominion (Senior Day, Nov. 6).
The CAA Tournament will be hosted by the top seed and opens on Friday, Nov. 12 with the championship match on Sunday, Nov. 14.
