Lee Sidelined for the Rest of the Season Due to Injury

Philadelphia – The Drexel men's basketball team suffered a major setback this week when Damion Lee was injured in the game against No. 4 Arizona. Lee, a junior, will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Lee was hurt early in the second half of the loss to the Wildcats at Madison Square Garden. A three-year starter, Lee was third in the Colonial Athletic Association in scoring as a sophomore with 17.1 points per game and was a Second Team All-CAA pick a year ago. He was an All-Conference Preseason First Team selection. Lee is just 40 points shy of 1,000 in his career and is already 13th all-time at the school with 131 career three-pointers. In addition, Lee shoots more than 80 percent in his career from the free throw line, the fourth best percentage in school history.
"We all feel bad for Damion and what he is going through right now," Head Coach Bruiser Flint said. "He was going to be one of the top players in the CAA this season. We know he will work hard in his rehabilitation to be back on the court next season."
