Palik Awarded CAA Wrestler of the Week Honors

Lawrenceville, N.J. – Brandon Palik was named Colonial Athletic Association Wrestler of the Week for his performances against both Franklin & Marshall and Rider. Palik is currently ranked second in the CAA and 20th in the nation at 197.

Palik went 2-0 on the week, picking up his second tech fall of the season as Drexel defeated Franklin & Marshall on Friday and then adding his fifth major decision against the third ranked CAA wrestler from Rider on Sunday. The redshirt junior has also tallied six win-by-falls thus far this year. With the two victories, Palik improved to 22-3 on the season and 4-0 in conference duals.

Palik and the Dragons will return home this Friday as Drexel hosts Rutgers on Senior Day at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. Matches are set to begin at 7 p.m.
