Joran Received Philadelphia Inquirer Academic Performer of the Year Award

Philadelphia – Senior women's lacrosse player Kelli Joran has been named the 2013 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Performer of the Year. Joran was also named to last year's Academic All-Area team.
The Downingtown, Pa., native finished her career ranked 10th on Drexel's all-time leaderboard with 101 career goals, becoming the 11th player in Drexel history to reach 100 career goals. She also finished 12th all-time with 122 career points. She is a two-time first-team All-CAA selection and was an IWLCA All-Region Second Team pick for the second straight year. This season, Joran led Drexel with 37 goals and 29 ground balls and was second on the squad with 46 points and 53 draw controls to help lead the Dragons to their third straight Colonial Athletic Association Championship appearance.
Joran has a grade-point average of 3.82 in elementary education. She has been named to Dean's List 10 times and received the CAA Commissioner's Award three times.
