Philadelphia, Pa. – The Drexel men's basketball team will be without the services of Damion Lee for the rest of the season. Lee was diagnosed with a fracture in his right hand.
The junior, who leads the Colonial Athletic Association and is fourth in the nation in scoring with 21.4 points per game, suffered the injury in Saturday's overtime loss at Northeastern. Lee finished the game with 30 points.
Lee finished his season with 578 points, the eighth highest single-season total in Drexel history. The guard from Baltimore also averaged 6.1 rebounds, shot 39 percent from long range and 89 percent from the foul line. He made 38 of his last 39 free throw attempts and is now 10th on the career scoring list at the school with 1,538 points.
Drexel has two games remaining before beginning play in the CAA Tournament. The Dragons host Delaware on Senior Night this Thursday and close the regular season on Saturday at William & Mary.
