DiMeo Named CAA Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - Drexel Softball freshman Kristi DiMeo was named the Colonial Athletic Association's Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. DiMeo earned recognition from the conference for the first time in her career after standout individual performances in Drexel's games against Delaware, Wagner and College of Charleston.
The native of New Jersey helped the Dragons go 3-3 last week with victories against Delaware, Wagner and College of Charleston. DiMeo went 9-for-21 for a .429 batting average, seven RBI, four doubles and her third home run of the season.
Most notably, DiMeo went 2-for-3 and sparked a rally for the Dragons in a 14-5 victory against Wagner with a home run, a double and three RBI.
DiMeo and the Dragons are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 3 when they travel to Villanova for a 4 p.m. matchup.
