Drexel Cheerleading
ROSTER
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Drexel University Cheer Team consists of 20 individuals and is sponsored by the Department of Athletics. The team is an integral part of the fan experience at all home men's and women's home basketball games. The team also competes at the UCA Collegiate National Championship in Orlando, FL. Cheerleaders can major in any academic program, must be full-time students, and are expected to maintain high GPA standards. As varsity student-athletes, cheerleaders benefit from a range of support services available to all Drexel varsity sports teams. In addition, scholarships are available.
BASKETBALL GAME SCHEDULE
Various nights and weekends October through March. All home men's and women's basketball games are mandatory, including those that may be held over school breaks.

Step Two: Complete required paperwork - New Student-Athletes | Returning Student-Athletes
Step Three: Learn required material- Sideline Cheer | Fight Song Front / Fight Song Back
2024-2025 SPRING TRYOUT INFORMATION
Sunday, April 28th | 10AM - 4PM
Daskalakis Athletic Center | 3301 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104
Registration begins at 9:30AM. Must be checked in by 10AM.
Cuts will be made as needed after the lunch break
TRYOUT DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS:
Tryouts will be held in late-April. This will be a one day tryout and participants must be present for the entire day. Video submissions for those who live more than 4 hours away will be due by April 26th via email. Please email alh477@drexel.edu for video tryout instructions.
Tryouts will begin on Sunday with introductions, review of material, tumbling and stunting. Cuts will be made as needed after the lunch break. Formal evaluations will happen after the break. Results will be posted after tryouts followed by a team meeting.
APPEARANCE: Athletes should be 'game ready' | Makeup and hair styled as you would for game day. T-shirt/Tank and athletic shorts (both in Drexel colors) and athletic/cheer sneakers.
MATERIAL: Material should be learned prior to tryouts, which includes the fight song and sideline cheer. Student-athletes will learn an additional band dance at tryouts.
TUMBLING: Is not required, but is encouraged. We will be looking for both standing and running tumbling for those who have it.
PARTNER STUNTS: Looking for elite stunting in your respective position (heel stretch and full up variation preferred)
