Carol Pellicano, a 1986 graduate who played softball, ended her career as the school’s all-time leader in career hits with 93 and in runs scored with 59. She also finished second in career home runs, fourth in batting average and sixth in walks. A PAIAW All-Star in both 1984 and 1985, she was a 1986 All-East Coast Conference pick and a team tri-captain as the Dragons competed in their first ECC Championship. She led the team with a .419 average as a freshman and had one of the top averages for a newcomer in the nation. In addition to her prowess on the diamond,
Pellicano also played basketball as a freshman and a sophomore. She played in 39 games and averaged 7.5 points per game during her sophomore season.
