Douglas Frey was both the Drexel wrestling head coach and the head athletic trainer at the school. He served as the wrestling head coach for 10 years and had an impressive record of 114-23. His teams were undefeated on two different occasions and none of his teams ever had a losing record. Frey’s squad won three Middle Six Wrestling Championships.
Frey was part of the athletic training staff for 35 years, including 32 seasons as the head trainer. No trainer in Drexel history has served longer than Frey.
