Harry Brevda was a two-sport standout during his days at Drexel. An all-around performer on the track and field team, Brevda competed in javelin, high hurtdles, and high jump for four seasons. He was undefeated in hurdles during the 1934 season and was the captain of Central Pennsylvania Championship track team. As a freshman, Brevda was the MAC finalist in javelin and high hurdles as a freshman.
Brevda was a four-year starter on the football team. He played center and tackle before moving to left end. Brevda, who was a Major in the U.S. Army Airborne during World War II, graduated from Drexel in 1935.
