Herman Epstein guided the Drexel men’s lacrosse team to its first victory ever and helped to build the program as head coach for 21 years. Epstein amassed the second-most coaching wins in the program’s history, posting a 94-86-2 mark during his tenure.
Epstein held the distinction of serving as a coach in the North-South All-Star game on three separate occasions. Under Epstein’s tutelage, 24 players earned All-America honors while wearing the blue and gold. In addition to his primary post as head men’s lacrosse coach, Epstein also served as an assistant football coach at Drexel for several years.
