Patrick McCabe, a four-year letterwinner in baseball, was one of Drexel’s top hitters during his tenure. The centerfielder was a two-time All-East Coast Conference selection, in 1980 and ’82, and completed his four years at Drexel with a .409 career batting average.
In 1982 McCabe led the nation with a .488 batting average and he was ranked third in the country with 29 stolen bases. He is among Drexel’s all-time leaders in steals with 60 swipes as a Dragon.
