Ralph “Robbie” Robinson excelled as both a track athlete and a baseball player at Drexel. He won seven letters in the two sports. Robinson was the captain of the baseball team as a senior.
Robinson is second on the school’s all-time list for career batting average at .364. He set the single season record when he hit .417. During his days at Drexel, Robinson was the Vice President of the Varsity Club and was on the Athletic Council. He was awarded the Kappa Phil Delta Cup as the Outstanding Athlete prior to his graduation in 1930.
