Dick Young was a four-year letterwinner on the lacrosse team. He was a two-time All-America and just one of two men’s lacrosse players to be named a First Team All-American in school history. He was named to the Drexel Lacrosse 75th Anniversary Team.
Young scored 96 goals in his career, a record for midfielders at Drexel. He played in the prestigious North-South All-Star game in 1953. Young was twice named to the All- Penn-Delaware team. He also played a season of football at Drexel before graduating in 1954.
