Stanley Dlugosz was a two-sport star at Drexel. He played both baseball and soccer for three seasons. Dlugosz was a two-year captain on the baseball team and was also the captain of Drexel’s National Championship soccer team in 1958.
Dlugosz was a two-time First Team All-American on the soccer field. He is still the school’s all-time leader with 49 career goals and 115 career points. During his three seasons of play, the Dragons’ soccer team had a combined record of 30-4. After graduating from Drexel in 1960, Dlugosz remained associated with the game by serving as a collegiate coach for a number of years.
