Thomas Kolongowski was a three-sport performer at Drexel. He won eight varsity letters in baseball, football and lacrosse. As a lacrosse player, Kolongowski was named Second Team All-State on defense as a senior.
Kolongowski was named the Outstanding Junior Athlete and the following year was named the Varsity Club Award recipient as the Outstanding Senior Athlete. He had the distinction of being the first Lt. Thomas Patrick Greene Award winner which was given to the graduating athlete who displayed to the highest degree the attributes of courage, cooperation, leadership and sportsmanship.
A 1953 graduate, Kolongowski was a member of the Men’s Athletic Association for three years and was elected President in 1953.
