Nacickaite Returns to Help Lithuanian National Team in EuroBasket Qualifying

Philadelphia - Drexel junior guard Kamile Nacickaite is back in Europe this summer to help her native Lithuanian National team in its quest to qualify for the 2011 EuroBasket Tournament. Nacickaite had a break-out year for the Dragons in 2010. She was second on the team in scoring, rebounding and three-pointers during the 2009-10 season.

Nacickaite is veteran of the Lithuanian Under 20 team, but makes her first appearance with the senior national team this summer. Last year she led the U20 squad in three-point shooting (.336) and was second in scoring (10.6 ppg) during its run in the 2009 European Championships.

The Lithuanians will be in action in EuroBasket qualifying starting Aug. 2 when they face the Netherlands. Lithuania's other opponents in Group A qualifying are Belgium, Croatia and Italy. They will play Croatia on Aug. 5, Belgium on Aug. 8 and Italy on Aug. 11 before repeating the home-and-home series in that order on Aug. 17, 20, 23 and 26.
