PHILADELPHIA — Drexel Head Coach Zach Spiker has announced two new additions to the men's basketball team. Troy Harper, Jr. and Tramaine Isabell have transferred to the school and each will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Harper, a 6-foot-1 guard, is a local product who played his high school basketball at Neumann Goretti. Last season, Harper played at Campbell University, where he was second on the team with 13.5 points per game. He sank 39 three-pointers, shot 76.8 percent from the free throw line and went to the stripe more than five times per game. Harper was a part of four Catholic League championship teams during his high school days at Goretti.
Isabell came to Drexel after spending the last two seasons at the University of Missouri. While a member of the Tigers last year, Isabell played in 28 games and averaged 6.2 points per game. He scored in double figures on eight occasions and had a career-high 17 points against both Ole Miss and Texas A&M. Isabell also appeared in 27 games as a freshman.
Due to NCAA transfer rules, both Harper and Isabell will be allowed to practice this season and will be eligible to compete during the 2017-18 season.
