Dragons to Play Colgate Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA – The Dragons will travel to Hamilton, New York on Tuesday to take on the Colgate Raiders. The game tips off at 7 pm. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker's Local 98 is once again the presenting sponsor of Drexel Men's Basketball.
About Drexel
The Dragons are 1-1 after falling on the road to the Saint Joseph's Hawks on Saturday, 76-65, at Hagan Arena. Villiam Garcia Adsten and Josh Reed led the team in scoring with 12 points each. Garcia Adsten finished the game with a double-double, adding 11 rebounds to his 12 points. Shane Blakeney led the team with 35 minutes played while also stealing the ball four times and pulling down seven rebounds. The junior also added 10 points to his stat sheet. Kevon Vanderhorst shot four for seven on the day and two for four from three. He also had four rebounds, a steal and a block. The Dragons out rebounded the Hawks, 42-39, and held the Hawks to under 38 percent shooting.
About Colgate
The Raiders are 0-2 to start the season with losses against No. 22 Michigan State and Northeastern. They have been coached by Matt Langel since 2011. Last season the Raiders went 14-19 overall and 10-8 in conference games. They fell in the semifinals to the eventual champion American University. Junior Jalen Cox was named to the Preseason Men's Basketball All-Patriot League Team.

Drexel is 3-0 all time against Colgate with their most recent coming just last season, a 73-56 win at home. In the previous matchup the Dragons outrebounded the Raiders 44-30 and held them to under 34% shooting. In his career, coach Zach Spiker is 11-5 against Colgate.
