Dragons to Face Temple in Third-Place Game of Toyota Women's Big 5 Classic

PHILADELPHIA - Drexel women's basketball travels to the Finneran Pavillion on the campus of Villanova on Sunday, December 7 to play in the Toyota Women's Big 5 Classic. The Dragons will face the Temple Owls in the third-place contest set for 2:15 p.m. on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
LAST TIME OUT
A career-high from Molly Rullo helped the Drexel women's basketball team defeat the American Eagles, 55-48 on Wednesday night inside the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
Prior to the game, Drexel Athletics celebrated Amaris Baker for scoring her 1000th career point against Marist and Janet E. and Barry C. Burkholder Family Women's Basketball Head Coach Amy Mallon for her 100th career victory against Pitt earlier this season.
Baker paced the Dragons with 20 points across 38 minutes. The graduate student sunk all five of her free throw attempts.
Rullo added a career-high 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting. The freshman also posted a career-high in minutes played, seeing 31 minutes of action.
The Dragons held a 24-point lead at one point, but a 18-point second half allowed American to pull itself back into the game. The Dragon defense held the Eagles to just 15 points in the first half.

Drexel and Temple are set to face each other for the fifth time in on Sunday afternoon. Temple currently holds a four-game winstreak over the Dragons, last defeating DU in a pod game last season in North Philadelphia, 52-43.
