Jimmy Overhiser

Jimmy Overhiser was named as an assistant coach for the Drexel wrestling team in August, 2024.
Overhiser comes to Philadelphia after one season as an assistant coach at Army. During his time at West Point, Overhiser helped coach three Black Knights to the NCAA tournament. The 2023-24 freshman class was also ranked 17th in the country by Intermat and 21st in the nation by Matscouts.
The Bradford, N.Y. native also made stints at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Reinhardt. Under his guidance, he helped 15 student-athletes qualify for the NCAA Tournament, including three All-Americans and a National Champion. Overhiser most recently helped Tarleton State University with the start of its new wrestling program.
The former 149-pounder was a member of the Cornell wrestling team for four seasons. He graduated from Cornell in 2020 with a degree in architecture art and planning.
