Helen Callas (Reiner)

Helen Callas Reiner was a standout in three sports at Drexel. She played on the basketball team, the field hockey team and the softball team before graduating from the school in 1957. Callas Reiner was one of the first great field hockey players at the school. She was named an All-America as a senior. She captained both the hockey team for two seasons and was also a captain of the softball team. Callas Reiner was a member and starter on the 1957 U.S. Women’s National Team.
Callas Reiner was awarded the prestigious Blazer Award and won four Athlon Shield Awards, which are given for three varsity letters in one season.
