Janet Lamon Ciocciola was a recipient of the Athlon Award in each of her four seasons at Drexel for earning varsity letters in at least three different sports. She earned four of those letters in field hockey, four more in basketball, three on the lacrosse field and one in tennis.

As a junior and senior on the field hockey team, she was chosen Honorable Mention All-College. As a member of the basketball team, her teams lost only once in her four years. A co-captain for two seasons and one in basketball, she graduated first in her class in women’s business administration in 1968. Lamon Ciocciola served in the Women’s Athletic Association three years and was the publicity chairman as a junior.
