Joseph L. Vetter was a 1951 and ‘54 Drexel graduate and was a recipient of the Athletics Director Legacy Award. Vetter served as an assistant coach with the football team during the 1960s and was also a professor at Drexel and a longtime supporter of athletics. In 2002, Vetter was presented with the Service to the University Award from the Richard C. Goodwin College of Professional Studies. The award, which now bares his name, is presented annually to an alum or individual with a close affiliation to the College who has volunteered both time and effort to benefit the school.
