John Kuzan was a three-year letterwinner on the Drexel football team. He was a versatile player who played both offense and defense for the Dragons. During his three seasons, the Dragons posted a 19-4-1 record. As a senior, Kuzan was a First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference pick and the Southern Division MVP as both a quarterback and a defensive back. He was named Second Team All-State by Associated Press and was member of the ECAC All-East Division II team. Kuzan, a 1968 graduate, led the Dragons in total offense as both a junior and a senior. He was also a punter, halfback and kick returner in each of his three seasons.
