Marian Layton Lloyd excelled in four sports at Drexel and earned a total of 11 letters in her four years at the school. She played on the basketball and field hockey team for four seasons each. Layton Lloyd also played two seasons of tennis and a year of softball.

Layton Lloyd was one of the finest field hockey players ever to play at the school. She was named to the Philadelphia All-College First Team. She twice received the Athlon Award for winning three varsity letters in one season. Layton Lloyd also won the Blazer Award.
