Raymond Lynn was one of the finest track men in history. During his illustrious career, Lynn set eight individual school records and contributed to 11 others. He set seven of those records as a freshman, including marks in the 120 and 440 hurdles outdoors and three other hurdle events during the indoor season. He was the East Coast Conference champion in high hurdles three times and once in the intermediate hurdles.
In his four seasons, Lynn was never beaten in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Championships. He also scored three years in a row at the IC4A. Lynn was invited to run in the Philadelphia Track Classic at the Spectrum every year from 1973-75. He qualified for the NCAA Championships in both indoor and outdoor track from 1973-75. Lynn graduated in 1975 and went on to become a nationally known hydroplane racer.
