Andrew Goldberg Named to Academic All-Area Team

Philadelphia - The Philadelphia Inquirer has named Drexel sophomore forward Andrew Goldberg to its Academic All-Area Men's Soccer Team for his performance on the pitch and in the classroom during the 2009 season. Goldberg is a business administration major with a 3.79 cumulative grade point average.
On the field, Goldberg tied for second on the team in points this season with eight. The striker scored three goals and distributed two assists. He was named Philadelphia Soccer Six Player of the Week on Oct. 5 after recording two goals and an assist in Drexel's 6-5 overtime win against Towson.
The Academic All-Area Teams are selected by the sports information offices of the 28 Philadelphia schools and recognized each season in the Philadelphia Inquirer,
