Dragons Dominate St. Francis (N.Y.) in First Dual Match of the Season

Philadelphia - Drexel women's tennis downed St. Francis (N.Y.) in dominant fashion with a 7-0 shutout victory in the Dragons' first dual match of the fall season. Zineb Hilali led a barrage on the singles side with a 6-0, 6-0 straight set victory over Arianne Van Sluytman at first singles. The Dragons dropped just two games all day in singles and doubles play.

Newcomer Emma Brook won her first collegiate singles match 6-1, 6-0 at second singles. She also teamed with Hilali to defeat Renee Warner and Van Sluytman 8-0 at first doubles. Anahita Jagtiani, Elise Leizerovich, Melissa Bohm and Lara Hamad also won in singles match play.

The Dragons head down to Norfolk, Va. this weekend to participate in the Sergio Tacchini Invitational hosted by Old Dominion.
