West Point, N.Y. – Drexel Wrestling fell short in their dual against Army, with the Black Knights coming out on top 22-16. The Dragons move to 3-5 on the season, while Army improved to 2-2.
Redshirt junior Kevin Matyas added a win-by-fall at 4:28 in the 174 bout against Army's Travis Mallo. Teammates Clayton Lutzow, Brandon Palik and Jon Max Wright added decisions at 133, 197, and 285 respectively.
The loss puts Army up 8-5 over Drexel in the teams' all-time series.
Drexel returns to action on Sunday, December 16 when they head to Madison Square Garden in New York City to participate in the Grapple at the Garden. The Dragons will take on George Mason at 10:30 a.m.
