Men’s Crew Places First Against Bucknell

Shamokin Dam, Pa. – The Drexel men's crew team took first in all three events against Bucknell on Saturday. The women's results will be released later today.
The men's freshmen eight clocked in at 6:08.63 against Bucknell. The Vince Vidas boat featured Victoria Kenion, stroke Grigorios Papadourakis, Brian McCabe, Hartman Byers, Cameron Staines, James Byrne, Casimir Czworkowski, Butch Eribal and bow Christian Ladd.
The men's second varsity eight, in the Antoinette Pennoni boat, had a top time of 6:29.05. The boat included coxswain Marc Smith, stroke Filip Topalovic, Marcus DeMarici, Martin Khait, Brian Timlin, Kevin Rorabaugh, Ryan Mallgrave, Timothy Drake and bow Patrick McGann.
The men's varsity eight crossed the finish line at 6:17.84 before the Bison. The Lois Krall boat included coxswain Randall Lee, stroke Kurt Linton, Paul Wisniowski, Aleksandar Radovic, Lorenzo Albala, Sebastian Ryan, Vanja Busic, Michael Faust and bow Will Masters.
On the women's side, the freshmen eight boat placed first with a time of 7:46.30. The boat featured coxswain Catherine Hamilton, stroke, Meredith Bracken, Emily Gartland, Olivia Babiec, Bridget Pfeifer, Amanda Kleuser, Joy Yingling, Jayme Batcher and bow Elise Levito.
The Dragons will compete in the Knecht Cup on Saturday, April 14 through April 15.
