Five Newcomers Set to Join Women's Basketball in the Fall

PHILADELPHIA - Head coach Denise Dillon and her staff will welcome a talented crop of newcomers to the Drexel women's basketball team this season, as five student-athletes will make their first appearances with the Dragons. Carrie Alexander, Meghan Creighton, Rachel Pearson, Jamila Thompson and Pandora Wilson make up an incoming class ranked eighth in the nation among mid-major schools by ESPN. Four of the five will be beginning their collegiate careers, while Thompson comes to the Dragons after completing a two-year junior college stint.
Three of Drexel's four freshmen are ranked among the top 100 in the nation at their positions by ESPN HoopGurlz.
Carrie Alexander (5'7” Guard, Bowie, Md.)
