Philadelphia, Pa. – Drexel's defense allowed a season-low 49 points en route to a 59-49 victory against Saint Francis (Pa.) at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Sunday afternoon. Chris Fouch scored 15 points and Frantz Massenat added 13 as the Dragons improved to 8-3 as they begin the holiday break.

Drexel led by seven early in the second half, but the Red Flash (2-9) scored on three-straight possessions to make it a 34-32 game with 15:55 left in the contest. The Dragons answered just minutes later with a 9-0 run as Fouch and Massenat scored all nine points, putting the home team up, 45-34 with just under 13 minutes to play. Both teams struggled on the offensive end for the remainder of the game. Drexel held the Red Flash without a point for a stretch of more than six and a half minutes, but only scored four points during that run.

The Red Flash stayed in the game early by shooting well from deep. Saint Francis shot 6-for-15 from behind the arc and trailed by just four at 29-25 at the half. The Red Flash had 19 points from their bench as both Dominique Major and Ben Millaud-Meunier had three three-point field goals.

Fouch was 5-for-8 from the floor and knocked down both of Drexel's three-pointers. Kazembe Abif grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds to go with nine points as the Dragons outrebounded the Red Flash, 39-26. Major led St. Francis with 16 points. The Red Flash finished 8-for-25 from deep, but overall managed to shoot just 36 percent from the floor.

After a short break, the Dragons return to the Daskalakis Athletic Center to host Buffalo on Dec. 29. It will be the team's last non-conference home game of the season. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
