Men's and Women's Tennis Sweeps St. Francis at Home

PHILADELPHIA - The men's and women's tennis teams swept St. Francis (Pa) at the Drexel Armory. The men took St. Francis down 6-1, which places them 5-1 on the season and gives them their fourth straight win. The women won in a 7-0 decision and improved their record to 6-0.
On the men's side, Badr Ouabdelmoumen and Skyler Davis are back on their doubles game as they defeated the Red Flash, 8-7, and picked up the point.
In singles play, three Dragons finished their matches in straight sets to give Drexel the win. No. 1 Ouabdelmoumen started play off strong as he finished his match, 6-2, 7-6. Davis also won in a, 6-2, 6-1, decision. Jeganathan Srinivasan was defeated by his opponent in a close, 4-6, 6-7, decision, while Xabier Saavedra finished his match with a 6-1 win.
The women swept doubles play, as teams of Zeynep Mafa and Marcela Rosales, Nicole Pivonka and Emma Brook, and Alex Bell and Aysenil Orhon all took home wins. Mafa and Rosales are now 6-0 as the No. 1 doubles pair.
Mafa, Rosales, and Pivonka all completed singles play in straight sets, setting the Dragons up for the win. Bell took her match, 8-6, Brooke finished, 8-2, and Orhon ended with an, 8-6, decision.
The men and women return to the court Saturday, February 23 for an away match against UMBC.
