Round of 32 Complete at U.S. Open Squash
Sunday, October 11
PHILADELPHIA - With the qualifying round completed, the main draw for the U.S. Open Squash Championships took place on Saturday and Sunday at Drexel University.
On Saturday, Mohamed Elshorbagy and Raneem El Welily earned victories while qualifiers Greg Lobban and Donna Urquhart produced upsets at the Open.
Another 16 matches were played on Sunday from Drexel's Kline & Specter Courts, located in the Recreation Center, and the ASB GlassCourt, located in the Daskalakis Athletic Center. After Sunday's matches, the final 16 for both the men and women were decided. Amanda Sobhy, the final standing U.S. player, defeated Sarah-Jane Perry of England in three sets, while the Indian pair of Joshana Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal both progressed.
