RESULTS
Saturday: Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes Second at Patriot Invite
FAIRFAX, Va. - The Drexel men's swimming and diving team completed competition at the Patriot Invitational, hosted by George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., on Saturday evening as the Dragons finished in second place. UMBC won the meet with 844.5 points followed by Drexel (803), UNCW (781), Seton Hall (688) and George Mason (509) to round out the top five.
On Saturday, Kyle Lukens and Joel Berryman placed first and second in the 100 IM with times of 51.07 and 52.06. The pair also earned second and third finishes in the 100 free as Berryman touched the wall at 45.18 with Lukens following up at 46.02.
The Drexel men also won the 400 free relay to close out the meet behind Berryman, Patrick Cobb, Sean Swartz and Lukens with a final time of 3:03.76, less than a quarter of a second ahead of a foursome from UNCW.
Zoltan Gercsak finished second in the 1650 free for the Dragons, posting a time of 15:59.23.
The men will now gear up for the AT&T Winter National Championships in Federal Way, Wash. from Dec. 3-5.
Friday: Men's Swimming and Diving in Second After Day Two of Patriot Invite
FAIRFAX, Va. - The Drexel men's swimming and diving team finished up day two of the thee-day, George Mason-hosted Patriot Invitational in Fairfax, Va. on Friday. Friday's events consisted of the 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and 800 free relay along with the women's 1m and men's 3m dives. The Dragons are currently in second place with 553 points. Drexel trails UMBC (605.5) but are headed of UNCW (531), Seton Hall (466) and George Mason (341) for the top-five teams in the nine-school meet.
The men finished second in the 200 medley relay to open Friday's portion of the competition behind Joel Berryman, Ralph Cannarozzi III, Kyle Lukens and Sean Swartz with a time of 1:30.73.
Ralph Cannarozzi III went on to win the 100 breast with a time of 57.12.
Berryman also earned a victory and broke the meet record in the 100 back at 48.86, almost finishing a full second ahead of the competition.
Lukens then placed second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:03.14.
Ivo Pejovic touched the wall at 1:41.08 in the 200 free to finish third.
The men placed third in the 800 free relay to close out the evening with a foursome of Pejovic, Dane bell, Matthew Klotz and Luke Hanner at 6:49.53.
Saturday will close out the three-day meet in Fairfax, Va.

FAIRFAX, Va. -- The Drexel men's swimming and dive team concluded day one of three in Fairfax, Va. this Thursday evening at the George Mason-hosted Patriot Invitational. The Dragons are currently in first place with 268 points. Thursday's events consisted of the 50 free, 500 free, 200 IM, 200 free relay, 400 medley relay along with the women's 3m and men's 1m dives.
The men won the 200 free relay with a foursome of Sean Swartz, Kyle Lukens, Liam Kelly and Joel Berryman with a time 1:22.64.
Iov Pejovic finished first with a personal best of 4:33.90 in the 500 free as Zoltan Gercsak came in third at 4:34.18.
Berryman also won the 50 free when he touched the wall at 20.80.
David Sanchez earned second in the 1m dive for the men with a total score of 282.00
To close out the evening, Drexel came in second to UNCW in the 400 medley relay behind Berryman, Ralph Cannarozzi III, Lukens and Swartz with a final time of 3:21.13.
