Dragons Close Regular Season With 83-82 Loss vs. UNCW

Philadelphia - Drexel closed the regular season with an 83-82 loss at home against UNCW on Senior Night. Tramaine Isabell led Drexel with 29 points. UNCW's Jordan Talley hit a jumper with eight seconds to go to give the Seahawks the lead. Drexel had one last possession, but Kurk Lee's drive came up short and Austin Williams' tip did not go down as UNCW escaped with the win. UNCW is now 10-20 and 7-11 in the CAA. Drexel fell to 12-19 and 6-12 in CAA play.

Drexel started out cold from the floor, making just one of its first 12 field goal attempts in the early going. UNCW was able to take advantage and built a 13-point lead. The Dragons chipped away and trailed by just four at intermission despite shooting just 33 percent.

Isabell had another good night statistically, narrowly missing his second straight 30-point game. Alihan Demir came off the bench to score 16 points. Devontae Cacok, the nation's leading rebounder, grabbed 21 rebounds and scored 16 points. Ty Taylor scored 23 points to lead UNCW.

The game marked the final Daskalakis Athletic Center appearance for seniors Sammy Mojica, Tyshawn Myles, Miles Overton and Austin Williams. Each player was honored before the game.
