Men's Tennis Cruises Past Bucknell; Rhazali Breaks Record for Most Victories in Program History

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel men's tennis team wrapped up its weekend with a 6-1 victory against Bucknell on Sunday evening at the Hecht/Hamlin Center. The Dragons won three of the four doubles matches and five of the six singles matches to earn the win. The men's victory was the 63rd of head coach Mehdi Rhazali's career with the Dragons, surpassing former coach Al Laverson for the most victories in program history.
Bernard Tefel and Sinan Orhon started things off strong defeating the Bucknell pair 6-3 at No.1. The team of Balaji Lakshmanan and Sanil Jagtiani then won 7-5 at No. 2 doubles, while Hamza Laalej and Xandy Hammitt captured a 6-3 decision at No. 3 for the doubles point.
In singles play, Laleej, Lakshmanan, Orhon and Jagtiani all battled for three-set victories while Tefel closed out the scoring at No. 5 with a straight-set victory.
