Men's Tennis Defeats Delaware Sunday Afternoon, 4-2

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's tennis team defeated Delaware, 4-2, at the Elkton Indoor Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Dragons improve to 11-5 (1-0 CAA) and are the winners of five straight.

The men's team cruised past the Blue Hens to win the doubles point, and carried the momentum over into singles to put the match away. Sinan Orhon and Bernard Tefel won 6-1 at No. 1 while Xandy Hammitt and Hamza Laleej defeated their opponent, 6-3, at No. 3. In singles, the Dragons battled to three straight set wins for the victory. Balaji Lakshmanan won at No. 2, 6-1, 6-2, Sinan Orhon won at No. 4, 6-4, 6-3, and Tefel won at No. 5, 6-2, 6-4.

The Dragons will get right back to it on Wednesday, April 11 when they travel to take on Saint Joseph's at 2 p.m.
