PHILADELPHIA – Drexel University junior Tramaine Isabell plans to graduate at the conclusion of the summer term. The summer term at Drexel ends on September 7, 2018.
"Tramaine has expressed a strong desire to graduate college this summer," Drexel Head Coach Zach Spiker said. "No time is ever the right time to replace your leading scorer, especially early September. However, having this information now allows us to do two things. We can support Tramaine and his personal process to graduate and pursue other opportunities, and we can also now evaluate and pursue talented players that otherwise would not have access to Drexel in mid-September.
"We thank Tramaine for his honesty on this issue and for his contributions to the program. We wish him well in the future."
Drexel will return Kurk Lee, Alihan Demir and Troy Harper, three student-athletes who averaged more than 10 points per game last season. The Dragons will have at least two new faces as Coletrane Washington and Zach Walton have each signed National Letters of Intent to suit up this fall. In addition, Tim Perry, who redshirted last year, and James Butler, who sat out due to NCAA transfer rules, will both be eligible to play this season.
