Rowing Closes Weekend at the Princeton Chase on Sunday

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Drexel University men's and women's rowing teams closed out a weekend of racing with the Princeton Chase on Sunday, Oct. 27.
On a rainy Sunday morning, the Dragons sent six boats to Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J. for the three-mile event.
The women's top boat came in 14th (15:37517) followed by finishes in 43rd (17:28.183) and 44th (17:54.331) in their 47-boat event. Princeton won the race with a time of 14:37.568, one of three sub 15-minutes times along with Brown and Virginia.
In the 50-boat race for the men, Drexel finished 20th (13:49.856), 27th (14:02.365) and 45th (15:07.776). Two boats posted sub 13-minute times to win the chase with Dartmouth leading the way at 12:52.745 followed by Princeton (12:57.158).

The women close their fall schedule at the Cooper Sprints next Saturday, Nov. 2 in Cherry Hill, N.J. with the men finishing up the following weekend at the Frostbite Regatta on Saturday, Nov. 9.
