Women’s Tennis Inks Cabrerizo to NLI

PHILADELPHIA – Drexel University Director of Tennis Mehdi Rhazali and Head Women's Tennis Coach Anne Marie Devlin announced the signing of Isabel Cabrerizo to a National Letter of Intent.

Cabrerizo, who will join the Dragons in the fall of 2020, is the first signing made by Devlin, who was named head women's tennis coach during the summer.

"We are really excited to add Isabel to the program next fall," Devlin said. "She's a great student and strong player and will make a great impact for the Dragons in 2020."

Cabrerizo hails from Logroño, Spain, where she attends IES Cosme Garcia. She is the 65^th-ranked player in Spain and the top-ranked competitor in the La Rioja region. A serial winner, Cabrerizo has been champion of La Rioja at the under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18 levels.

"I am excited for coach Devlin's first official recruit," Rhazali said. "Isabel has a lot of match experience and solid academics as well. She will be a great asset for the program."
