
Women’s Soccer Signs Five to NLIs

Alexandra Kornafel | Voorhees, N.J. | Shawnee
Kornafel joins Drexel following a four-year playing career at Shawnee High School in Medford, N.J. A versatile player for the Renegades, she received First Team All-Olympic Conference honors as a senior and helped guide Shawnee to an Olympic Conference regular season championship in 2018.
At the club level, Kornafel helped PDA (N.J.) to a National Premier Leagues national title in 2018 in addition to four-straight Northeast NPL championships between 2016 and 2019 and back-to-back New Jersey State Cup wins in 2018 and 2019.
"Alex is a very savvy player with a tremendous amount of playing experience at a high level," Goon said.

Delaney Lappin | Media, Pa. | Ocean City
Lappin was a four-year multi-sport athlete for Ocean City High School in Ocean City, N.J., competing in basketball and track in addition to soccer. She was a two-time First Team All-South Jersey honoree. With the Red Raiders, Lappin claimed two Cape-Atlantic League championships and was a NJSIAA Group 3 title winner.
On the hardwood, Lappin was a member of a state championship finalist team and a First Team Atlantic City Press selection.

Kayleigh Kenny | Bronxville, N.Y. | Somers
A midfielder and defender for Somers High School in Somers, N.Y., Kenny was a Section I Class A all-section honorable mention as a senior after helping the Tuskers to the section championship game. Kenny also received an all-section honorable mention nod as a sophomore as well as a spot on the all-league team as a junior.
Kenny played as a center back for the PDA-ECNL club team and reached the ECNL quarterfinals in both 2017 and 2018.
"Kayleigh has a good soccer IQ and a strong ability to read the game," Goon said.

Madison Maxwell | Voorhees, N.J. | Delsea Regional
Maxwell was a four-year member of the Delsea Regional girls' soccer team, playing as either an outside defender or center back. She served as team captain as a senior and racked up All-South Jersey and all-state recognition. She also received All-South Jersey first team honors as a junior following an appearance on the second team as a sophomore. The Crusaders were South Jersey Group 2 sectional champions in 2018 with Maxwell in the back line. Delsea Region won conference championships in all four of Maxwell's seasons with the team.
At the club level, Maxwell won the New Jersey State Cup as well as the EDP Cup in 2018.
"Madi is a fierce competitor that takes pride in defending," Goon said.

Molly Piso | Pittsburgh, Pa. | Hickory
Piso comes to University City after a record-setting career at Hickory High School in Hermitage, Pa. She set both the single season and career shutout records for Hickory while helping the team to an appearance in the Pennsylvania State AA Soccer semifinals as a freshman.
Piso reaped Region 6 and District 10 first team honors and earned a spot on the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches All-State team as a senior. She also collected first team all-region honors as a freshman and sophomore and an all-district first team nod as a junior.
Hickory won Region 2 during Piso's freshman and sophomore seasons and Region 6 when she was a junior.
Molly comes to Drexel with a strong resume of experience and will look to bolster our goalkeeper corps immediately," Goon said.
